Dr. Marwan Mustaklem – Regional Medical Director, Transitions Indiana
Dr. Marwan Mustaklem is the Regional Medical Director for our Transitions Hospice and Palliative Care of Indiana since July 2016.
He attended medical school at Damascus University in Syria and after which completed his internal Medicine Residency training from Brown University –Rhode Island in 2003. He moved to Indiana in 2007 and has had many years of geriatric and palliative care experience since then. Dr. Mustaklem is board certified in Internal Medicine. He has been a Hospice Medical Director since 2014 and served with the Transitions Hospice team since 2016.
His professional interests include teaching patients about healthy lifestyles and prevention of disease. He also has big passion for palliative care and end of life quality care. He has been working full-time at St. Vincent Hospital since 2009.
Dr. Mustaklem is a fellow of American College of Physicians (FACP) and a fellow of Hospital Medicine (FHM).
He is married to Dr. Rona Abu-Manneh and is the father of 3 children. His hobbies include Racket ball, Tennis, fishing and traveling.
